Volve Hotel Bangkok – Hotel & Resort Review

Volve Hotel Bangkok

On my way to Cambodia, I had a three-night stay at the Volve Hotel Bangkok. It was a chic yet quaint experience, offering a great overall aesthetic sense.

Location:

Volve Hotel is within the Thong Lo district, about a three-minute walk away from the Thong Lo BTS station (E6). It’s a convenient base from which to check out the Thong Lo area with all its cafes, restaurants, and bars; the hotel even provides guests with an illustrated map to help one navigate. It’s not too far away from other shopping areas like Siam, and there’s also a 7-11 convenience store right next to the BTS.

Rooms:

I stayed in the Deluxe room. It’s a comfortable place with good lighting that is the standard size for a city—but if you value privacy it is not recommended since it is facing the street and one can’t open the window shades without someone on the street being able to see into the room. It can also be somewhat noisy during the day but the street only gets light traffic at night, so sleep quality was not compromised.

The bathrooms provide Malin + Goetz toiletries in small tubes; these shower gels tend to run out faster, so simply request more from reception if needed. The Smart TV in the room offers several entertainment options, although it syncs better with Android than Apple. The shower water pressure was great, as was the heater.

The service staff was helpful, friendly and prompt.

The hotel is quite pleasant overall, featuring good design, good concept, decent-sized rooms, great location, and great service.
