Chinese New Year 2018

This year one of my plans is to discover new places and experience more different cultures. So this year I finally made it and I flew to China to experience the Chinese New Year 2018 celebrations.

One of the cultures that I have been always so curious about and interested in, is the Chinese culture. This especially at the time of the New Year celebrations, when all the streets wear red holiday decorations.

The Year of the Dog – 2018

The Dog (狗) is eleventh of the 12-year cycle of animals which appear in the Chinese zodiac related to the Chinese calendar. 2018: The Year of the Dog is associated with the Earthly Branch symbol 戌. The character狗, also refers to the actual animal while 戌, also refers to the zodiac animal.
